If you are looking to build a wide back lat pull downs should definitely be a part of your back routine. The primary muscles worked are the latissimus dorsi muscles. Secondary muscles include biceps and rear delts It also strengthens the traps, rhomboids and serratus anterior. When doing the movement bring your elbows as far back as possible as this will lead to a better contraction of the lats. Keep the movement under control in order to properly target the desired muscles.
